Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Sailors vs. Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons

Columbus is 0-10 against Aplington-Parkersburg since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Columbus Sailors will venture away from home to challenge the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons at 7:45 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Columbus was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to Hudson. The game marked the Sailors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Denver typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Aplington-Parkersburg proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Cyclones by a score of 73-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Columbus' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Columbus came up short against Aplington-Parkersburg when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 59-52. Can Columbus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
