Preview: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Calistoga Wildcats

Buckingham Charter is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Calistoga is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Buckingham Charter Knights will take on the Calistoga Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Buckingham Charter made off with a 39-38 victory over Sacramento Adventist.

Meanwhile, Calistoga scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Grace Christian Academy at home to the tune of 79-39. Calistoga has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.

Calistoga found their leader in underclassman Diego Perez, who scored 32 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oreo Infante, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds.

Buckingham Charter's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8. As for Calistoga, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
