Basketball Game Preview: Monmouth-Roseville Titans vs. Sherrard Tigers

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Sherrard Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Monmouth-Roseville came up short against Orion and fell 60-50. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Chargers are ranked 181st).

Meanwhile, Sherrard waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Boilermakers by a score of 52-41.

Monmouth-Roseville has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Sherrard, they pushed their record up to 24-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Monmouth-Roseville ended up a good deal behind Sherrard when the teams last played back in January, losing 56-37. Can Monmouth-Roseville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
