Softball Recap: Crestwood Comes Up Short

Crestwood lost against Hazleton Area back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Comets fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 8-7.

Ella Richards was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Alekzandria Dutko was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Crestwood now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Hazleton Area, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Crestwood is set to take on their familiar foe Pittston at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hazleton Area will challenge rival Wilkes-Barre at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
