Basketball Recap: Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Loveland Classical Lions 63-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Lions are ranked 98th).

Trevan Coberly continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Loveland Classical, going 10 of 18 on his way to 26 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Coberly now owns an excellent 46.2% shooting accuracy. Kole Doan was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Loveland Classical, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loveland Classical, they will host Two Roads Charter School at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Loveland Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season.
