Katella had won five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 17-3 to make it six. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Kennedy Fighting Irish 3-1. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly two runs.

Katella saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danny Viera, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

As for Kennedy, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since March 18th.

On Kennedy's side, Tyler Onofre spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

Katella will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Fighting Irish: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
