Volleyball Recap: Hockaday Starts Season with Victory Against Grapevine

Hockaday had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Grapevine Mustangs on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Daisies sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row dating back to last season.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Hockaday got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 16-25, 15-10.

Coming up, Hockaday will square off against Highland Park at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. As for Grapevine, they will be taking part in a tournament against Rock Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
