Baseball Recap: Marion County Takes a Loss

Marion County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Adair County Indians, falling 18-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered against the Indians since April 26, 2022.

Noah Spalding was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Parker Groce also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Adair County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

While Marion County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
