Baseball Recap: Dumas Bobcats vs. McGehee Owls
Dumas had lost nine straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-17 to make it ten. They came up short against the McGehee Owls, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-5 on April 4th.
As for McGehee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
For McGehee's part, Drake Brown was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Brown is becoming a predictor of the Owls' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Dakota McMickle, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
