Central waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Clay-Chalkville Cougars. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Central took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-6.

Ta'Maya Coman paced Central's offense, picking up six kills. Coman got some help from Caroline Butler and her five assists. Coman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Clay-Chalkville, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Madison Academy on the 23rd. As for Clay-Chalkville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Rogers on the 23rd.
