Basketball Game Preview: Fayette Ware Wildcats vs. Tullahoma Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, Fayette Ware will jump right back in to play Tullahoma at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fayette Ware will be looking to extend their current 20-game winning streak.

Fayette Ware is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Fulton. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Falcons are ranked 72nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fayette Ware's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kylon Terry, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 19 points and eight boards, and Tarecous Stevens, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance gave Terry a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Lowe, who posted four points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Tullahoma entered their tilt with Jackson South Side on Thursday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victor by a 68-48 margin over the Hawks. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Tullahoma had a senior duo take command as Xavier Farrell shot 64% from the field en route to 31 points in addition to six boards and four steals and Khani Johnson went 7-for-11 to rack up 18 points and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Farrell has scored at least a third of Tullahoma's points. Sam Bobo was another key player, putting up nine points.

Fayette Ware pushed their record up to 28-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points over those games. As for Tullahoma, their record is now 31-4.
