Baseball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Starts Season with Win Against Bethany Community

R.J. Reynolds had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Bethany Community Wolves by a score of 12-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Demons as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Gavin Searcy was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Sean Lewis was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

R.J. Reynolds didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-2 win against T.W. Andrews on the 27th. As for Bethany Community, they have also already played their next game, a 7-2 victory against Greensboro Day School on the 27th.
