With a playoff win on the line, Cascade Christian rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Gervais Cougars get on the board and left with a 36-0 win. Considering the Challengers have won 11 contests by more than 26 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cascade Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deryk Farmer, who threw for 165 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 93 yards on only ten carries. Another back making a difference was Bryson Walker, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Cascade Christian proved: they limited Gervais to a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Farmer for the heroic effort on defense: he. Cascade Christian hasn't allowed more than 8.1 yards per carry in three consecutive matchups.

Cascade Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Gervais, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Coming up, Cascade Christian will be playing at home against Burns at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Hilanders will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Challengers surely won't give up without a fight. Gervais does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
