Meanwhile, Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Bowie, falling 16-4. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
