Baseball Recap: Boulder Creek Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Boulder Creek won against Putnam City on Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Boulder Creek Jaguars put the hurt on the Timnath Cubs with a sharp 13-3 win. The victory was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Matt Bentivolio looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Boulder Creek got a massive performance out of Matt Nicolosi, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Nicolosi a new career-high. Mason Meyer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Boulder Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-8. As for Timnath, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boulder Creek will host O'Connor at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Timnath, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mountain View at 4:00 p.m.
