Baseball Game Preview: Vision vs. Marsing Huskies

Vision hasn't had much luck against Marsing recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Vision will be playing at home against Marsing at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Vision came up short against New Plymouth on Monday, falling 13-5.

Payton Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Williams is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Kannon Koberlein was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Marsing entered their game against Parma on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Huskies lost 11-5 to the Panthers.

Marsing saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Heston McIntyre, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Marsing's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Vision, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Vision has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Marsing struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Vision might still be hurting after the 24-7 defeat they got from Marsing when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can Vision avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
