Ellwood City proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with a 25-24 photo finish over the Beaver Falls Tigers. The Wolverine have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Ellwood City can attribute much of their success to Richard Cureton, who rushed for 69 yards and two TDs. Domenik Hogue also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.

The win was the third in a row for Ellwood City, bringing their record up to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Beaver Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

As of now, neither Ellwood City nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
