Basketball Recap: Spring Baptist Academy Has No Trouble Against Still Creek Christian

There's no place like home for Spring Baptist Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 51-28 margin over the Still Creek Christian Colts on Tuesday. That 23 point margin sets a new team best for the Royals this season.

Jaxton Doelitsch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13-for-25 en route to 28 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He has become a key player for Spring Baptist Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Haney, who posted six points in addition to four blocks and three steals.

Still Creek Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Kelton Inmon and Ethan Mangan. Inmon earned eight points along with 12 boards and three steals, while Mangan scored eight points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mangan a new career-high in boards.

Spring Baptist Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7. As for Still Creek Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-8.

Looking ahead, Spring Baptist Academy will venture away from home to take on Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. Still Creek Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
