Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Valley Christian's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Pioneer Valley Christian came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Longmeadow Spartans, falling 3-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Pioneer Valley Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 25-21.

Jayden Sinn was a one-man wrecking crew For East Longmeadow. as he had 23 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Sinn has posted since back in April.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pioneer Valley Christian fell to 4-1. As for East Longmeadow, the win keeps they at an undefeated 15-0.

Coming up, Pioneer Valley Christian will square off against West Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Longmeadow, they will challenge Southwick Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Rams a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
