Baseball Recap: Cyprus Falls Short of Spanish Fork in the Playoffs

Cyprus and Spanish Fork squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cyprus had to settle for second. They fell 7-3 to the Dons.

Cyprus saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Densley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Cyprus' defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Spanish Fork, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-16.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Cyprus will challenge Viewmont at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Spanish Fork, they will square off against Maple Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Dons surely won't give up without a fight.
