Preview: Riverside Ram vs. Lightridge Bolts
Riverside has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They and the Lightridge Bolts will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lightridge took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Riverside beat the Panthers 58-47.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-33, which was the final score in Lightridge's tilt against the Falcons on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Lightridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Falcons are ranked fifth).
Riverside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Lightridge, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Riverside barely slipped by the Bolts in their previous meeting last Wednesday, winning 59-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
