Baseball Recap: Onaga's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Onaga was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frankfort Wildcats. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Jackson Kolterman was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Kolterman was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4.

Kolterman wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was L.J. Koelzer, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Onaga fell to 2-1. As for Frankfort, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Frankfort beat Onaga by a score of 12-2 later that day.
