Basketball Recap: Jensen Carter Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Seton Catholic

Coolidge won the last time they faced Seton Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Coolidge Bears managed a 60-56 win over the Seton Catholic Sentinels.

Coolidge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jensen Carter, who went 10 of 13 on his way to 25 points. Thanks to that strong game, Carter now owns an excellent 48% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Adarius Miguel, who posted 12 points and five assists.

Seton Catholic's loss came despite strong showings from Kj Fauske and Ryan Morris. Fauske went 6 for 14 to rack up 20 points, while Morris went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points and six assists. The dominant performance gave Morris a new career-high in assists. Dylan Alvidrez was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Coolidge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Seton Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coolidge will head out to square off against Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Valley Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 25 contests -- so hopefully Coolidge likes a good challenge. As for Seton Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Seton Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
