Basketball Recap: Tampa Catholic Skates Past Kapolei Charter with Ease

Tampa Catholic not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 3rd (when they won 96-35). They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 99-39 victory over the Kapolei Charter Iwa.

Tampa Catholic was led to victory by Neo Flores and Sohan Alla. Flores went 7-for-15 to rack up 21 points in addition to seven assists and five steals, while Alla shot 89% from the field en route to 18 points and eight boards. The contest was Flores' sixth in a row with at least 21 points. Aiden Haugabrook was another key player, putting up nine points.

Tampa Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

The win got Tampa Catholic back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Tampa Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge IMG Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kapolei Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
