St. Teresa's Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-47 W against the Platte County Pirates. Given the Stars' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Pirates are ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Teresa's Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jazlyn Rhodes, who shot 45% from the field on her way to 17 points and seven steals. Rhodes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Addi Moylan was another key player, putting up 13 points along with five assists and three steals.

St. Teresa's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Platte County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Looking ahead, St. Teresa's Academy will take on Grandview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grandview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. Platte County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
