Baseball Game Preview: St. James Sharks vs. Conway Tigers

St. James has gone 8-2 against Conway recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. St. James will host Conway at 6:00 p.m.

St. James fell victim to Carolina Forest and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the Panthers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

St. James got a good showing from Caleb Kessler, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Kessler has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Conway had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Seahawks. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly three runs.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Conway, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

St. James beat Conway 5-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does St. James have another victory up their sleeve, or will Conway turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
