Baseball Recap: Forreston's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Forreston waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Pearl City Wolves get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Forreston got a big performance out of Daniel Koehl, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Darin Greenfield also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Forreston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pearl City only posted an OBP of .400.

Forreston's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Pearl City, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9.

Forreston will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
