University City had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over the Hazelwood East Spartans on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Hazelwood East now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University City will head out to take on Hazelwood Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hazelwood East, they will venture away from home to square off against Bayless at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
