Softball Recap: Rialto Finds Home Field Redemption Against Eisenhower

There's no place like home for Rialto, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eisenhower Eagles on Monday, sneaking past 9-7. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Eagles on April 4th, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.

Rylee Estrada spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Delilah Munoz, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Samantha Anaya was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Rialto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rialto's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Eisenhower, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Rialto wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 win against San Gorgonio on the 30th. As for Eisenhower, they have also already played their next match, a 9-8 loss against Carter on the 30th.
