Baseball Recap: Nashua South Comes Up Short

Nashua South fell victim to Bedford and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. If the Purple Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in June of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nashua South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan O'Connor, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Gus Smiley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Nashua South's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bedford, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5.

Coincidentally, Nashua South and Bedford will both be playing Goffstown the next time they take the field. The Purple Panthers will host the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
