Basketball Recap: San Diego Jewish Academy Beats Valley Torah for Their Fourth Straight Win

San Diego Jewish Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Boaz Koffler. The San Diego Jewish Academy Lions snuck past the Valley Torah Wolfpack with a 59-55 win on Monday thanks in part to Koffler, who posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Adam Tal was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

San Diego Jewish Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-11. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Valley Torah, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Diego Jewish Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Diego Jewish Academy is facing Rock Academy at the right time seeing as Rock Academy is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Valley Torah, they will head out to challenge Tarbut V' Torah at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
