Baseball Recap: Timber Creek Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Timber Creek can now relate to. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Creekside Knights on Wednesday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Brody Juntunen was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

Timber Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Creekside, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.

While Timber Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
