Basketball Recap: Larned Takes a Loss

Larned suffered their biggest loss since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 58-29 loss at the hands of the Hesston Swathers. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Swathers are ranked second).

Larned has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Hesston, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, Larned will challenge Scott on Tuesday. As for Hesston, they will take on Cheney at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cheney is on a four-game streak of home wins, Hesston a 11-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
