Soccer Recap: Coronado Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Coronado had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Coronado couldn't quite close it out.

Cheyenne Mountain's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coronado will welcome Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Mesa Ridge at 6:30 p.m.
