Softball Recap: Randleman Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Randleman entered their tilt with Providence Grove on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 6-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Addyson Dees was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylie St John, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Randleman's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Providence Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randleman will host McMichael at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Randleman's pitchers better be ready for this one: McMichael has averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Providence Grove, they will face off against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
