Flag Football Recap: South Elgin Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

South Elgin proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 22) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Dundee-Crown Chargers. For the Storm, this counts as revenge for the 24-0 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Dundee-Crown lost, don't look at Kerrigan Svec. Despite the final result, she rushed for 125 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

South Elgin's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Dundee-Crown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

South Elgin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-18 loss against Glenbard East on the 29th. As for Dundee-Crown, they have also already played their next game, a 20-14 victory against Crystal Lake South on the 30th.
