The Ashe County Huskies will square off against the East Gaston Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashe County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Ashe County came up short against Surry Central and fell 7-3.

Nadilyn Eason made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, East Gaston's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of South Point by a score of 8-7.

Molly Kuproski was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Wheeler, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Ashe County dropped their record down to 10-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for East Gaston, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 18-3.
