            Football Recap: Roane County Raiders vs. Ripley Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            While Roane County's  win against Ripley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders skirted past the Vikings  38-36. The  victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

  Javon Letourneau had another great game (as  he tends to do), rushing for 201 yards and three  TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Those  201  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Leo Rogers also helped with two scores in total.
 Despite the loss, Ripley still got an impressive performance from   Cody Lawrence, who picked up 153 receiving yards and three  touchdowns, and also rushed for 147 yards and one  TD on only 14 carries. Lawrence's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.  Jackson Moore was another key player, throwing for 228 yards and three  touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Roane County's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Ripley,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-3.
 Coming up, Roane County is taking a road trip to  take on Ravenswood  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Ripley, they will welcome Winfield  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Generals' defense has only allowed 12.2  points per game  this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
