Basketball Game Preview: Tug Valley Panthers vs. Logan Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Tug Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 contests.

Tug Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 99-67 victory over Mingo Central. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Miners recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Logan faced Williamstown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Logan was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 70-69 to Williamstown. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (60), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Tug Valley's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points over those games. As for Logan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.
