Volleyball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Takes a Loss

Abingdon/Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Bureau Valley Storm. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tornadoes of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16.

Abingdon/Avon's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Bureau Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Coming up, Abingdon/Avon will square off against Wethersfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bureau Valley, they will host Mendota at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
