Morton had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Milton Red Hawks a 6-0 shutout. Considering Morton have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Morton's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Milton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morton will square off against Pekin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Milton, they will challenge Waunakee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waunakee will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Milton surely won't give up without a fight.
