Soccer Game Preview: Springfield vs. Marple Newtown

The Springfield Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Springfield challenged Penncrest on Tuesday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Marple Newtown was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Strath Haven. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Marple Newtown couldn't quite close it out.

Marple Newtown's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
