Volleyball Recap: Trinity Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Trinity Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-7, 25-10.

Wake Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Evann Curry, who had 12 digs and five aces. Curry has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played. Lydia Deans was another key player, hitting 71.4% for five kills and 11 digs and five aces.

Trinity Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Wake Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Academy will square off against Cary Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will host Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
