Football Recap: Moorestown Takes a Loss

Moorestown scored first but ultimately less than Robbinsville in their game on Friday. They fell 33-25 to the Ravens. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Quakers couldn't quite close it out.

Jake Eckert threw for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Max Cevallos was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Ben Labroli rushed for 78 yards and one TD.

This is the second loss in a row for Moorestown and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Robbinsville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Moorestown will head out to take on Cinnaminson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Robbinsville, they will venture away from home to face off against Hamilton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hornets' defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Ravens' offense will have their work cut out for them.
