Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern Guilford). They put the hurt on the Trinity Bulldogs with a sharp 68-45 win on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Despite the defeat, Trinity saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zy'Iveon Holmes almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Nazir Staton, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Eastern Guilford's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Trinity, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Eastern Guilford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-33 loss against Chatham Charter on the 28th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-60 defeat against Southwestern Randolph on the 28th.
