Baseball Game Preview: Brodhead/Juda Cardinals vs. Big Foot Chiefs

The Brodhead/Juda Cardinals will square off against the Big Foot Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brodhead/Juda will be strutting in after a victory while Big Foot will be coming in after a defeat.

Brodhead/Juda was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Columbus, sneaking past 2-1. The two-run effort marked Brodhead/Juda's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Gabe Bockhop, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. Chase Bauman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Big Foot couldn't beat East Troy on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Chiefs came up short against the Trojans, falling 15-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Skylar Jacobs was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Big Foot's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Brodhead/Juda, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Brodhead/Juda came out on top in a nail-biter against Big Foot when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
