The Upper Merion Area Vikings will take on the Devon Prep Tide at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
On Thursday, Upper Merion Area needed a bit of extra time to put away Pottstown. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Trojans 11-9.

The team relied heavily on John Tomsho, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Dylan Fowler was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Upper Merion Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Devon Prep). Everything went their way against Cardinal O'Hara on Thursday as they made off with a 12-2 win.
Devon Prep also got a great performance from Colin Carey as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Devon Prep let Liam Jung and Ryan Samms run wild. Jung went 2-for-3 with three runs, while Samms went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Samms has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Flannery, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI.
Devon Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Upper Merion Area, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
