Softball Recap: Madeira Mustangs and Amazons vs. Wyoming Cowboys
Madeira extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-9. They lost 15-4 to the Wyoming Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 on April 15th.

Peyton Mercer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addy Brock, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.
As for Wyoming, the win got them back to even at 7-7. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lexie Evans, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Anna Galinger was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.
While Madeira had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
