Soccer Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Valley Christian lost against Saint Francis back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Valley Christian Warriors took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Francis Lancers. One reason for the loss might be the Warriors' aggressive play style: Trevor DeVos and Isaiah Muse were both handed yellow cards.

Aaron Vanderveen and Muse scored both of Valley Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Valley Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Saint Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Coming up, Valley Christian will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Bellarmine College Prep at 11:00 a.m. As for Saint Francis, they will head out on the road to challenge Archbishop Riordan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
