Veritas Christian has no trouble against Omaha R

The Veritas Christian Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 35-24 win over Omaha R on Saturday. That looming 35-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Veritas Christian yet this season.
It was another big night for Rachael Gaspers, who scored 17 points along with seven steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Veritas Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Alainie Bessent, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Veritas Christian's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Omaha R, they bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season.
Veritas Christian will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Faith Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Omaha R does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
